Mysore Class

Mysore Class

What is a Mysore class?

Mysore style is the traditional way Ashtanga is taught, named after Mysore, India, where it comes from. It is self-practice with a teacher: everyone moves through the Ashtanga sequence at their own pace, with their own breath, in the same room.

The teacher walks the room, watches each student and gives hands-on help and the next asana when you are ready. No other student is watching you. Everyone is busy with their own breath.

Beginners are welcome. On your first morning, tell the teacher it is your first time. You start with Sun Salutations and build from there, step by step.

What to bring: your own mat, a towel and clothes you can move in. No phones in the room.

At AYBKK, Mysore classes start at 5:30 and 7:30 most mornings. See the live timetable and book in advance at aybkk.com. Questions? LINE @aybkk.
